What The WAAC Does
The Westport Arts Advisory Committee advises the 1st Selectman on the preservation of Westport’s legacy as an arts community, provides oversight of the Town Art Collection (WestPAC) and initiates ways to increase the visibility of the arts in our community. WAAC was founded by artist Burt Chernow in 1994.

Our annual TEA Talk presents a moderated panel discussion of topics interesting to artists and the arts-loving community.

On Saturday October 16, 2022 five paintings were unveiled in the walkway to Bedford Square off Main Street. “Westport Illustrated” portrays the history —
and future — of Westport.

The mural project is a collaboration between the Westport Arts Advisory Committee, David Adam Realty and Charter Realty & Development, with support from the Drew Friedman Community Arts Center.
